i wonder if the white specks around his beak are feathers features, or are pollen ?

Hi Raphael. Those specks are pollen. They look obvious
since this is one of the world's smallest birds

At which distance did you shot it ? Do you use an hunting blind for these hummingbird portraits ?

I am close to minimum focal distance for that lens, so it was a little less than 3 meters
