For me this is one to print very large and put on a wall over the fireplace ot the end of a corridor. Beautiful capture and I really like the interaction between the details and silhouettes!
Composition: I find the foreground very distracting. I feel it is not really part of the central subject, i.e. the left and right outcroppings that fade into the distance which is mimicked by the sky. I would crop the foreground area and concentrate on the upper 2/3s of the scene.
Exposure: well the highlights above the right outcropping needs to be burned in more, probably 2 stops. Assuming there is detail in the outcroppings in the negative then these must be dodged about 2 or even 3 stops. If there is no detail in the negative then this for me is not the right kind of subject for a silhouette type pic. There is way too much contrast in my opinion.
miguel,
i like this quite a bit. i would crop down to just above the outcropping on the left. i might burn down the sky just a bit, one stop and would definately just let the the dark section of the rocks go. i love the way the water splits and reaches for the corners. you've created a wonderful abstract landscape. nice work. doc
