Wonderful night photograph, Scott. I'm glad you're able to find 5x7 color film, something I thought was unobtainable.

This is the remnant of a box of Portra 160nc I bought for my trip to Argentina in 2007(?). You can still get this through B&H, but when I bought it it was expensive enough at $150-ish a box. Now? $415. I MIGHT treat myself to two boxes as a Christmas present this year if I can sell a few prints or one of my photo classes sells out.

Yeah- the Portra 160 has a very long tonal scale and handles contrast, mixed lighting and reciprocity failure extremely well. It's basically 1 stop exposure comp between 1 second and 30 seconds indicated time. Beyond 30 seconds, 2 stops. I've seen reports that you can maintain color fidelity at exposures of up to two hours in length, but I've never been in that range so have no experience to judge from.
