I find this picture has an interesting tension to it. I keep feeling you should have stood on something to raise your camera angle a few inches to get the attachment piece on the rod, down a few inches, but with it like this, it feels sort of tense and unsettling. If it was lower it would seem more like just quiet solitude. I find it a fascinating example of finding something of little consequence and it turns out to have emotional qualities to it, as well as the whole concept of the abandoned factory and all the human baggage and emotion that that entails. So its sort of like an abstract still live, with human emotions tied to it.
Interesting, as I look over this I come to feel like I want to turn my head side to side and see the entire area. Knowing I can not I find it OK to just stare at it and knw there is one point of light and it is not the bulbs turn yet.Simple and nice.
