'Hard to believe that's a roll your own emulsion. 'Really impressive. Its also a nice composition, country scene, w/ possibilities for the MSA from the road on the right. Bravo Nodda!
This is an enviable photograph, that you made an image on your own medium/emulsion. And bringing the romantic maple sap collecting and stone fence from beautiful New England as the subject is terrific. Is Seneca No. 2 a 8x10? The amount of work that must have gone into this is enviable. I had thought of trying to make whole plate, but the reality is that i am not equipped sufficiently with space and setup to make this enjoyable, hence the envy, admiration.
MSA = Monthly Shooting Assignment. I am going to try my hand at MSA for the MAR/APR period. The theme or subject is Follow the path. So it looked to HiHoSilver and me that you have it bagged! (except maybe it was taken before Mar2016) If i were judging, significant points would accrue to the format/medium quality and uniqueness. This exposure has so much to appreciate in dedication to the craft.
Ahh gotcha. Thank you for the explanation and for the compliments! Maybe I'll submit for the MSA. It was taken last weekend. I really love the colonialism apparent in the New England countryside, and often make it a subject.
The Seneca No. 2 came in 4x5 and 5x7 format (that I'm aware of). I have the smaller.
