No dodging/burning of the laundry or pillows on the couch? Neat trick, given the light from the window just above the couch, even if the shades are closed.

Correct. No dodging or burning. The film has a gentle shoulder in addition to a very normal response all the way down to the shadows which are only a little muddy.

Just a straight scan with the Coolscan 9000 at 4000 ppi followed by a pass through Neat Image using its default settings to clean up some of the noise in the smooth areas.

The original scan is 8701x8313 (72 MP) which had to be reduced to upload it here.

Impressive. I didn't notice the film first time around. Maybe I'll have to try some . . .
