Bromoil Transfer

Untitled. Five inkings and press passes with an etching press. Brush inked with orange, red, black dark brown and reddish brown. Matrix: Kentmere Fineprint VC fine grain matt. Receptor paper: Bockingford cold press watercolor paper.
Very nice.

Have you ever used fineprint VC glossy for bromoil? Once my bleaching solution comes I'm going to try the technique. All I have is glossy right now though.

Thanks, Walter! A glossy surface for bromoil is not for me (or you!). Semi-matt is best. Matt surface is next. Glossy = no! It will work for an experienced bromoilist, with lots of blood, sweat and tears, but it is very difficult, at best. The bromoil process can be challenging enough without adding the "glossy hurdle" to jump! LOL!

Good luck!

Gene

Good to know. I was going to use the glossy since I had it already. Have plenty of time to pick up some semi-matte though as my chemistry order is taking a very long time.

Cheers.

Now back to discussion of your nice image

I have no clue what bromoil is, but I always love seeing your work when you post! This is really beautiful.

Awesome, Gene!
