bromoil bodý

making more bromoils.

this is one picture, made out of two panoramic negatives - one of my girlfriend; the other of an old sculpture I made years ago....

a "torso"
FANTASTIC! I'm a fan of the bromoil process.

Which paper did you use for this? And which papers are you using for bromoil in general? I have a friend here in Australia who seems to use all makes/surfaces (but not RC) and is able to produce some stunning images. I have difficulty in getting good blacks, even with paper that is "sort-of" friendly.

Lyn: I make my own papers! Actually, what I do is, to make the initial image using liquid emulsion (FOMA's) on paper.
That way, it is totally unhardened, when I bleach it out - voila; that's it.

(Looks quite different that bromoil prints made the "conventional" way, but I love that look...)

Thank you so much for the information concerning paper. Have just emailed Chris Reid at Blanco Negro to order some FOMA LE.

Wonderful to have FOMA products in Sydney.

Lyn. you're welcome.
When you get the LE, then mail me, as there are slight differences in the way to print and with the bleaching blend, than if you're working with "normal" papers.

Oh thank you, I will -- probably later next week. Great to hear "working" knowledge/wisdom from artists like you.

Just popped in here by chance and what a feast! All three pictures are beautiful. Very nice work - thanks!
