This is the best picture I've ever seen of the Palace Pier (as we local yokels still insist on calling it), bar none. And I've taken a fair few mediocre snaps of it myself in my time. Sometimes it takes a fresh pair of eyes to see a much-photographed object in a new and exciting way. Top class.
 
Thanks Ailsa. My wife (a brit) has told me that it is called the Palace Pier more times than can be counted. I have a tremendously thick skull.
