This was the first photograph I ever took at Yosemite. It was 36 degrees out and 7:30- 8:00 in the morning. I choose Pt because the brightness difference from the falls to the shadows in the woods was so long that I could not bring it down far enough to make it work. Plus I like the way pt make this work.
I'm not sure why, after I work on getting these just like the original they come out so much flatter than the original. Both have a lot more snap and brilliance to them. regards mike
I find that when I upload scans of lith prints I lose a lot of whatever color I had in the original, and some of the contrast.
It got better by working in an sRGB environment on the computer. Mike, try to just open the photos in the web browser before you upload them, and toggle between the browser and the software you edit your images in. The difference is usually very large.
