This is a print of the bridge photo I previously posted from a neg scan. I added some vignetting. I think I did too much, but I like the general direction it took.
I agree with Rukhov. As an occasional Lomo user I think the vignette would be more effective if it did not carry along the sides of the photograph and only occupied the corners. In fact I have been able to duplicate a 'Lomo/Holga' vignette simply by shooting with a 28mm lens fitted with a lens hood meant for a 50mm lens!
On the whole though an excellent photograph.
Glad to see you took our advice and printed this. I've looked at all the versions now, including a recheck of the original film scan, and have to say my favorite is the larger version with the vignette. I like the straight version too - it's just a really good picture in general I think. But like the antique feel of the vignette, which reminds me more of an old photo taken with an old lens than a Holga type picture. You may be right though - a more subtle vignette may well be even better. Anyhow, thanks for sharing all the different versions - I like getting a feel for what a photographer is thinking.
Both versions are very nice, though I might like even more with less vignetting.. what I don't understand is since this is a Tri-X neg - why am I seeing green moss on the bridge? Any one else see that?
