Bridge in the Rain

Bridge in the Rain

This bridge on Oklahoma 31, west of Kinta, Oklahoma in Haskell county is typical of the Pony truss style of bridges found on some Oklahoma highways. I set up the camera, and all of a sudden it started raining rather hard. I had my son hold a towel over the camera so I could get the shot.

The idea of documenting the bridges is a great idea. There are certainly many (some of which you have already recorded) that may disappear soon, and having a record will be important. What is the plan for these images - a show, a book, archiving in a local museum?

Bridges are a favorite of mine. This is a nice view.. like Louie said, I would put together a series.

I am sometimes sent to Norman OK for training, I will have to look around next time I go. Last time I went to the Mt. Scott area in the SW part of the state.
