Very nice. I like the apparent sharpness and the contrast.
I wonder how many bridal veil falls there are in the English-speaking world? I think there are at least 3 here in British Columbia.
Thanks for your comment on my Yosemite Falls image. I figured I would reply back to you on your image, because you would have a better chance of reading it.
My 24" Red Dot Artar is actually one of the last made Schenider Artars that was multicoated and in a black Copal 3 shutter. They also made a few of them in a aluminum barrel, compared to the regular brass barrel. These were about 1/3 lighter, and it really makes a difference! If you can find any of the Schenider Artars, they are fantastic lenses and I highly suggest them. I find that most modern lenses are too contrasty, but the Artars have a smoother and longer tonal scale.
It will be awhile before I can afford such a wonderful beast...older or newer model. Someday...but as it probably would not be a heavily used lens, I won't break the bank to get one.
JW -- many Bridalveil Falls (and Bridal Veil Falls) I am sure! This print is at the limits of acceptable contrast for a pt/pd print. Any more contrast in the neg and I'd have to go with a ziatype instead...or a carbon print. I have a hortizontal version that I made a nice carbon print with.
