Brass Sea Treasures

This is the other photo I chose for Round#11. This photo was a lot of fun to make. I was given a string of brass buttons by a printmaker friend of mine. I'm always coveting her small tiny shiny things. So I took this string of brass buttons to the beach at Esquimalt Lagoon. I brought along my son and one of his buddies. While they were running around making a driftwood fort I collected some seaweed and began making a background for my buttons. I started playing with the shapes and arrangements. The sun had already gone down and the light was so soft. When I finished making all the exposures it was getting quite dark and I could barely see to focus.
