I had to look up the meaning of 'bouquiniste'. At first glance I thought he was a book thief! Nice use of the 'what's going on here?' hook to pull us in...

I was in Paris for a couple days on a tour this year, and I bought a small photo, or postcard or something by Doisneau for 2 euro. Not a major piece, of course, and maybe just a reproduction, but I had to have it!

They're such important part of the landscape, right? What prompted me to print this picture was reading an article about their fight to not get closed down during the Olympics next year for "security reasons". Can't imagine the banks of the Seine without them!
