Borromini Staircase, Palazzo Barberini, Rome

Looking up the Borromini staircase at the Palazzo Barberini. It is one of a set of two, the other one by Bernini at the opposite end of the palazzo's main facade. This one is an oval spiral; the other, a square spiral. IMHO this one is far more elegant.
