Quite interesting skin tones, indeed... Is it the lighting, or have you developed your film in an unusual way (cross-process) ?

I would also add that this composition (with all the space at the left side) would be perfect if the background was a little more uniform (only grass, or a water surface - which by the way would give an interesting colour match to the wonderful blue eyes of Bonnie)...

I really appreciate the honest feedback, and I completely agree with the distracting background. I hadnt ever really noticed it before, maybe because I was too 'close' to the image. My goal was to try to have some negative space, but I guess my plan backfired

Regarding the skin tones: No special processing was done. But the subject is (obviously) very fair, and I had used a gold bounce. After that, I just turned it over to a lab for processing.

Cheers,

Dev

I usually hate the color of Velvia, but I like this. I think it's because the model's skin is so light, the colors act as accents.

As for cropping, I'd just crop the left to the silver thing in the background - cant' quite tell what it is, but it gives a balance to the model.

You've captured a dated 1950's film starlet look here with Bonnie. The flowers alone as a background might have been enough but I like it.
