Boca Grande Lighthouse

This is my first attempt at semi stand dev. w/Pyrocat HD 1:1:150. The sun had just dipped when I made the exposure. This roll of film was from 2 July's ago! I found it in one of my darkroom drawers yesterday.

I too have recently "experienced " the effects of semi stand development in pyrocat...Very nice tonality and texture in your image...I like it...

Mike, nice image for a "first attempt" at minimal agitation. Like the sky and tonality in the overall image, looks good, nice mood. Hope you can play with this type of development more, because it has so much to offer with FP4. It is a whole world of "new" ideas with light that it gives the film. Try shooting straight into the sunlight with a lens shade some time and see how you like it (even better results this way). best, tim

Thanks for the comments. What baffles me is how easy it printed on the grade 2. It was effortless .. (beg. luck)? Also, the contrast in the midtones is perking my curiosity for sure. As far as straight into the sun, well, the only rollfilm camera I'm using now is a Leica IIIc from 1951 and a 50mm Summitar from 1949. I don't think it likes sun too much but will try!
