I think that there is an interesting subject here but it requires different lighting to enhance its interest to me. If this scene is close by to where you reside go back at different times until you find more interesting and appealing light would be my advice.

I would prefer more depth of field. The entire boat should be in focus IMO.

I like what you have done here, I personally am intrigued by the light, I am not disagreeing with the others, but think you have the makings of a real neat photograph.

By doing a little dodging in the top left an to middle of the frame. A bit of burning
along the front edge, right corner and stern of the boat.

I really like the suggestion to check this subject out if [possible at different times of the day, under different lighting conditions and perhaps on a foggy or rainey day. This subject matter to me is just wonderful.

Thank you for posting, I like it!

Thanks very much to you all for taking the time to post. I too feel that the DOF should be increased so that the boat & background are more focused. As this subject is just down the road from me, I am going to try this shot again at different times of day (thanks for the suggestion). I am also going to try dodging & burning certain areas as Charles Webb suggested - thanks Charles!

Thanks again everyone!

Karl

"Come in number Nine, your time is (very definitely) up"... What the others said and... if there is much more of that brick wall available, it might make add another useful texture. Useful subject to have just down the road: lots of possibilities... - Bob.
