Story I did a long while back about the Aralsea (which is drying out). This is a boat graveyard at what used to be the shoreline of the sea. The water has receeded by more than 100 miles. Eerie place.

Very nice.

Is this a true representstion of the scene colors? I like the Portra films, but this is showing cyan quite heavy in the sky....is it me, my monitor or the photo???

I love the composition...very eerie. Why is the water receeding so much?

I think the cyan is in the scan, the real print is well balanced.
The water is receeding because the two rivers that (used to) feed the sea don't reach it anymore, due to high water demand of Uzbekistans cotton industry.
It's an environmental disaster of historic proportion, yet not much talked about. I didn't know about it before I went there.

This was in Lenswork about 2 or 3 issues back right?
