Good Lord!
I love this print.
I think the "goggles" line around the face just adds to the feeling. She is a "biker babe" and that area around the eyes tells that fact clean and simply. The dark background isolates the subject AND adds that mystery that I can just about taste.
The white chair? What can I say? It's sooo good for the tone relationships. It conncects with the white of her blouse and the shoulder stratps of the blouse keep that white line going right back to that geat face.
And last, just to keep this short, (I could write pages on this picture) the shine on those boots. They're black but just seperated from the background enough and add that bottom reference to the shine of the sun glasses on the top of her head.
Excellent work. Well seen and well expressed.
Saw the article in yesterday's Kenosha News regarding Harley Nation. Checked out the website though as always the scans just don't do any of the prints justice. Glad to see the article pointed out that you use an analog camera instead of the main stream digital. I think the writer found that hard to swallow. Seeing some print about your work helped me to understand the behind the scenes better. I am always interested in behind the scenes (light sources, time of day, place, fstops, ISO, low tech equipment). The article made me laugh and think so if you send them a thank you note, tell them that you got a good response.
