This is beautiful, great use of color here. Color often becomes interesting in very monochromatic situations, and there I love that hint of red among all the blue. You've also achieved a good balance between the descriptive and the abstract. Makes me want to touch the water! Very well done.
This is my third time back to this image, Graeme. And now I have fingerprints on my screen from touching the water. Could you e-mail me some Windex, please?
Graeme, Allways a fan of your, but I think you could do better with this. While the texture of the water is way cool, I think the image is lacking a bit. I tried cropping the rock on the left, but that didnt help much. I think it just needs a good focal point.
Thanks for taking the time to think about how to improve the image. I appreciate i very much.
You've pointed out "missing a focal point" as an issue with this image. Having made the same comments about many photos I've seen (and taken ...) I understand what you mean, but for me, the focal point is the texture of the water's surface. Personally, I find it hard to concentrate on any other part of the image for long before I'm drawn back to the criss-crossing standing waves running up the centre of the image.
