Blinking Eye

Otherwise known as The Gateshead Millennium Bridge, a pedestrian and cyclist tilting bridge that crosses the River Tyne in England between Gateshead on the south bank, and Newcastle upon Tyne to the north bank. Designed by English architects Wilkinson Eyre it was erected in 2000. Six Hydraulic rams (three on each side, each powered by a 55kW electric motor) rotate the bridge back on large bearings to allow small ships and boats (up to 25m tall) to pass underneath. The bridge takes less than 5 minutes to rotate through the full 40° from closed to open. Its appearance during this manoeuvre has led to it being nicknamed locally as the Blinking Eye Bridge. Prefer this one. You can see the action of the bridge in this as well as the other and the cloud background seems to blend in better. It is as if it forms a kind of synergy with the bridge.

Yes, I prefer this one, too. The whole image seems more 'dynamic' - helped by the sky. I've used Foma 400 in 120 and was quite impressed. Looks good in ID11, but not good enough for me to change from HP5+!

Thanks guys. I've decided that I also prefer this one as well. The form of the bridge looks more - well, yes - dynamic! Still not keen on the end result for the reasins outlined in my comments on the next image posted, but I might take up some of the suggestions made about alternative processing.
