Taken on a recent bike ride. I saw this lady standing with her face to the sun, I thought the composition looked nice. It was only after I took the shot that I noticed her stick.
Even without the presence of the woman this would have been a great shot. I love the relationship between the bottom of the the boats and the fronts of the huts. I hope that you took more shots.
Andy. Turns a good shot about colours into a human interest shot with colours to appreciate. Did you resolve the "anti-halation" problem on the other beach hut shot. If so what conclusions did you come to about it's cause?
Thanks TEX, I do have a few more from this roll, you can see them on my flickr page (linked in my signature).
PU, I have no idea how the halation occurred. I was using the R3M, with 40mm Nokton, and a vernier polariser. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the combination of skylight filter and polariser diffused the light somehow and that was picked up on the film.
i have enjoyed ( a bit late ) this series on the sea.
this one is my favorite ... the lady is framed perfectly within the
hut, it is like she is in a picture within a picture .. !
Thank you everyone. This is actually cropped a little. In the original frame there are five boats and five huts fully visible, but I thought this crop was better.
