Sunday after the Texas Get together, I circuitiously worked my way back into austin. Stopped in Blanco and found an old woodstorage area that seemed interesting.
JD, I was recently at a funeral for a close friend's father. It was at a large cemetery in Fort Worth, TX. I arrived at the funeral a little early and just spent some time walking around the cemetery, I wandered into the huge mausoleum they have there.
When I saw this scene I was reminded of the large gridded casket lined walls of a mausoleum.
Its an old abandoned building sitting right off the main street in Blanco. All the labeled slots and how much work and clamoring about that must have occurred here seemed semi-poignant in comparison to how it exist right now.
Oh wow! Growing up, my dad owned the town's hardware store/lumber yard. I spent hours and hours playing games in one that looked just like this! (but filled with lumber). Thank you so much for bringing back some truly great memories.
really love it.... especially love the upper part with patterns (almost graphic photo) contrasted with lower part of the floor (giving great sense of space) ...
not sure about the leveling of the camera, or the back (this is LF as i see).
