Thanks, folks. I think it's the combination of the lens and the film. With normal film the Voigtlander Nokton1.1 renders very soft, which for some is not acceptable or nice. But with the extra contrast of Ektar100, it sort of works as a counterbalance and the result ends up really pleasing.
