I canoed through here as a 16 year old cadet, in '79. We canoed from Kamloops Lake, all the way down to Spences Bridge. A very memorable adventure. I never forgot about that canyon and decided to look for it a few years ago. I located it, but first had to track down the rancher who owned the land that I would need to pass through to get to it. He was very friendly, and gave me permission. What a glorious sight from above!
I was thrown by the title - a different Black Canyon (below Boulder dam on the Colo. river) I'm looking - I don't remember a bridge like that. It was near that time I was in the other canyon. 'Has to be pretty exciting to see it again & aim your big lens that way. The longer I look, the more detail pops out. 'Not hard to see why you like the Pyrocat-HD. Normal? Stand? Semi-stand?
Hi HiHoSilver,That's interesting! I had no idea there was a Black Canyon down there. Yes, I gave this one semi-stand. I gave agitation at the start, a third the way in, and two thirds the way in, for a total development time of 45 minutes. It was a real treat seeing this spot again after so many years. I remembered other guys in my platoon capsizing, or running into bridges... Good times! Thanks for commenting! Thanks for commenting, JPJackson!
