The "BIG" Lake is certainly beautiful. I went swimming in it once on one hot August day when I was about 11 or 12 yrs. old. Did I say once? I now know why bodies of drown victims never bloat and float in Lake Superior.
I am guessing that it was a windy day and that is the reason some of the branches are out of focus. If that is the case, I would not have taken that shot, but I would have been dead wrong. It works brilliantly. Beautiful lonely and bleak feel to it with the toning making it almost surreal. I love this print. I confess to a bit of envy.
@Doc W, Yes it was VERY windy, 30 to 40 mph winds with 15 foot seas coming over the dunes. Had to run for the hills a few times.
Personally, I like when some of the vegetation goes out of focus in an image due to the wind. Flags and their poles come to mind, it adds a whole other feeling when viewing....multi dimensional.
Thanks everyone for the comments, I really appreciate it.
