HI Manuel
I am guessing this photograph is part of your project series you describe in the thread in the main forum? If so I will use that as the basis of my critique ...
From your writing you talked about aerial antenna and what they meant to you as you did your project. how they serve to represent yourself and the community and family &c. I really like how you spoke about your work and the symbolism. This image to me is about the hope you spoke about the iron structure with life resting on it, like the doves that came back with the branches to Noah in the Bible... you have the bird, pretty sky light another day and hope for happiness and life. color of the sky has that feeling of sacred cathedral ceilings, renaissance paintings, the bathtubs of a Madonna in a Bathtub almost sacred blue**, but not, its a little off like the bird with its beak open singing, but maybe things are not as they seem. To me at least I would make the sky have less of a tonal shift from bottom / side to top. I think I understand what you are doing and what the image is about ( I might be wrong? ) and think if you were able to tweak the tones of the blue sky to be the same brightness it would be a stronger for the contrast with the lonely aerial and bird. As it is now it is bright top center and sort of muddy in other areas that detract from the message I think you are trying to get across, death and hope and rebirth. It shouldn't be hard to do that with editing software you might have at your fingertips.. it would just take a little burning (correction: lightening, via dodging or otherwise) of the darker blue areas to get them the same brightness airiness. Don't be afraid to use whatever tools you have at your disposal to make your work say what you want it to say, there are no rules except for the barriers you construct for yourself.
Nice image! I hope to see more from your project
John
**sacre bleu/sacred blue was the color given to Madonna and her robe, made from Lapis Lazuli .. mined in Afghanistan ...
