Bill's Boat - Sugar Island, MI

Here's a shot I took this fall of the boat Bill built. I'm just getting back into the darkroom after shoulder surgery, so this is a negative scan.
Location
Sugar Island, MI
Equipment Used
Canon Elan7
Film & Developer
Acros 100 in DDX
Paper & Developer
negative scan
Lens Filter
none
It's a bright rich neg scan which I am sure will turn out even better as a print. Everything looks right.

How do you find the grain with DDX and Acros? I've just obtained DDX, having been a Perceptol user for some time and have yet to try it out.

Thanks

I love DDX & Acros... very fine, very rich! It's one of my favorite combos!

Hey! nice picture! Last I remember this boat it was upside down in your garage wasn't it? Sorry to hear about the shoulder surgery. I just got diagnosed with a labral tear myself, but I'm sticking with the exercises hoping to avoid the surgery. So far, so good.

Best,
Will

Looks great, Jeanette! I really like the way you positioned the top corners and it's overall feeling of balance despite being object heavy on the right. It really reads well from left to right for me. Best. Shawn

Jeanette,

I have to say that the subject matter here steals the show! What lovely work! That is a beauty...

Thanks all!! The boat was a labor of love for my husband! Will, the boat you guys saw was the canoe. He built this one this Spring.

Hi Jeanette,
I really like the composition and the tonality of this image.
I've only recently come to appreciate the beauty of working with Acros film.
Unfortunately, sheets are not so easy to acquire here.
