Thanks guys! Yeah, I was damn close. As he went back down into the bowl I felt the whoosh of air. I had been watching him do his stuff for a while and trusted his bike handling. He was OK with my being close too.

Contrary to popular belief, we actually do get sunny days in the middle of the winter here. We've had 3 of them so far and we're only 2 thirds of the way through the season.
