Very nice juxtaposition of ice and water

Eric, just an observation really. I looked at both thumbnails and thought it was unusual for you to take pics that were slightly out of focus either deliberately or accidentally but of course they were clearly not when viewed as full pics - all pin sharp. I wonder if this is a scanning effect of having a lot of ice in the picture?

@Eric Rose
yes, and with the recent melt and release of bacteria on the frozen tundra of
greenland im guessing we will be meeting our ancient alien friend trapped
in the ice of your photograph sometime soon! i hope you presented your
findings to Giorgio ! :smile:

Beautiful work Eric
I've heard the M5 is a strange-type of camera in the M family. Do you know the story behind its difference?

The M5 is my favourite Leica M. I've had an M3, M4 and M5. It's a "photographers" M. You have a very accurate spot meter and you don't have to take your eye away from the viewfinder when making adjustments.

It got poo poo'd by the Leica snobs because it didn't "look" like an M should and it was heavier.
