Peter, just posted my first digital pix, so in learning mode... what does it mean "levels...", in Hybrid materials category? thanks.

"Levels" is a lighting adjustment in Photoshop. I don't know enough about the theory, to explain it, but it seems to adjust the dmax, for light over all and for Red, Green and Blue channels seperately when working in color. You can stretch or shrink the points where shadows and highlights lose detail. You can do it manually or click "auto levels". Sometimes the alteration from the original photo can be quite stunning.
