@esearing Thanks. He's a lovely natured dog. Daft as a brush of course but lovely. With him he would have gone berserk if he thought there was a treat to be had! He was just being told to stay (by an assistant using hand signals because Bertie is deaf). Even so Bertie was only still for a few seconds so I had to be quick. The Zuiko 100mm is a great lens so I was able to focus quickly and get the shot -one chance only as is often the case with animals. The advantage of the 100mm is I can be far enough away but yet the lens is reasonably fast (f2.8).

I’m not aware of Cavalier King Charles dogs suffering from headaches but some bad breeding means syringomyelia has been seen in the breed. They do get mitral valve problems commonly. Unsharp?
