Berlin in 1956

Found some 35mm negs taken on my CONTAX III in Berlin, Germany in 1956 when I was there in the British Army ( RAMC) in Spandau Military Hospital. I was 19 years old ! Film was Perutz Peromnia 21oDIN -- I went on an 'Orgainised Tour' in the Russian Sector to he Russian War Memorial Garden where large slabs from Hitler's bunker were carved with 'patriotic Soviet themes'

Interesting. Do you know if that monument is still there? And is that near the very large Soviet memorial?

YES -- these carved slabs ARE still there as I have had some information on another Forum from a visitor who went in the 1970's. The slabs are down the sides of the large 'mound' with the figure on top.
