Berlin in 1956

Found some old negs taken in 1956 when I was in Berlin, Germany in the British Army ( RAMC) in BMH Spandau -- here is just one taken on my 1953 British -made- Ensign Selfix 16/20 Model II with the 75mm f3.5 Ross Xpres lens on Agfa Isopan film. This tram goes to the Zoo Station -- there were not many animals in the Zoo as they had all been eaten in 1945-- only a few 'baby' ones. British Soldiers had Free Travel on the trams if in uniform.

This is an absolutely wonderful set of time capsule photos, and this street shot is my favorite.

Gedra : Many thanks for viewing and kind comment -- -- wish I had not DUMPED so many of my old negatives from that time -- I have a few more but they are just 'scenes' ( Landscapes) that could be anywhere and not much different from now. At the time nobody had heard of 'Street Photography' !!

This is my favorite, too. But they're all good and show that you had a sense of light and composition even at such a young age.
