I've only shot a few rolls of it--but when I did, I was never happy with my results. Astia always coming out looking so blue to me, are you adjusting the levels or shooting with a warming filter at all?
Nope no adjustments. I get definitely neutral colours with astia 100f and provia 400x, as long as the light is near 5000K. I'd be happy to provide a spare slide for comparison if you wish. Provia 100f is the only fuji that blues up easily on me. You might check whether the e6 chems being used are optimal for the fujis, I've heard rumours of former kodak facilities using procedures that aren't optimal for the fujis. Luckily for me my local lab develops pretty much only fuji stuff now so... maybe that's why I get what I get.
Another reason why this may be working out well even under the redwood forest canopy is that it was a fairly old lens (the 80/1.9) which, to my eye, has warmish rendition.
Anyway thanks for the comments! Right after posting this I discovered a better slide with the innards of the flower better preserved (not going white)... oh well, please imagine it not blown out!
