thank you everyone - I had thought about burning in the processing plant, but THIS is what I saw.

@bertil: I tend to push the film towards graininess (with the fomapan that means using an ei of 800) and the stand developer also accentuates grain (breaking the rules: NEVER use a stand developer for film faster than ISO 50 - why not?) I don't know...I like grain
