Even thou there are lots of portraits of sculls around this one stands out because it's more then that , by putting it under glass and on a display platform , also selecting a direct view , locating camera at a level of the scull... shallow depth... beautifully painting lens and craftsmanship of controlling collodion process, also left to right view of the scull all add to this feeling of Hannibal coming over for dinner

the only thing i am not hundred precent on is what appears to be a bath towel that it sits on, may be it's just me.
