Begone, thou evil creature of the night with great canine teeth

Straight print. Slightly toned in Kodak two bath sepia toner. The Varycon KM paper has a surface structure that appears clearly in the full size scan and is hence not good for scanning, not visible here though. The photo was not perfectly flatted when scanning, hence the tonal variation in the background. Sorry for that.

did you do some PS adjustments? the back ground seem uneven. If not then you are having uneven development problems which I encountered with PL100. I changed my presoak to 5mins and don't have that problem andy more. also has a toned appearance which you don't mention as being done. I like the tones and the softness of the tones

I really like this image. There is a classic simplicity here that is harder to achieve that appears just looking at it.
 
A very good rendition of subtle tones and a good arrangement of the subject. I think I would prefer a horizontal crop on this one. IMO too much background top and bottom.
