The lith has done an excellent job here. It has given it a soft look that is reminiscent of an "old days" colour shot and yet it is different. A little like a very good hand-coloured print that looks like a colour print but has a distinctive look that makes it different
I guess with no vegetation in the scene it doesn't resemble a typical IR image. I used that film more for the light flare effect. I used Rodinal Special (Studional) which is very different to Rodinal. I have never used HC-110 so can't compare.

I didn't notice the "special" at the end... can you explain the difference between the two (regular R09 and R09 Spezial) please? I'm curious, freestyle mentions faster dev times, but that's all. Is that it, or is there more?
Rodinal Special (Studional) is a solvent developer which softens the grain in the film providing a smooth image. Rodinal is a non-solvent (accutance) developer which emphasizes the shape and edges of the grain resulting in a sharper image.Yes the processing times for Rodinal Special are very short but I dilute it 1:30 rather than the suggested 1:15 to extend my times.
