As much as I like this, and I do, I wonder if you considered a much lower pov? The sky has nothing to offer, but a stronger foreground might serve this very well. One of our worst habits is making the photograph from a comfortable position rather than from the best position for the subject. I remind myself of that constantly, but rarely listen to my own advice. lol
