Thank you Pentaxuser. I had it hand printed (no pixels) onto Kodak Endura paper. The colours are more vibrant on the print. Its a pity about the harsh shadow bottom right but it was a grab shot.

Until recently, I hadn't been to Beamish since 1980. Its much improved since then. My wife is drawn to the pub.

Do you mean you'd have preferred a time of day when there was no shadow there? In terms of the shadow per se then on my screen the shadow looks about right. There is a hint of detail which is all I think you can expect, given the harshness of the light. Sometimes grab shots can be just right
