Well....this has probably been the most successful roll of film I've ever exposed. I'm happy with nearly every frame of the 11 that are on it (the C220 has a quirk that misses a frame if you push the shutter before you advance the film, so I'm missing one.). Is it kosher to make a series based on just the images from a single roll?? ;)
John, This is a winner on many levels. I like the diagonal, the foreground reflections and the waterfalls apparent softness. I say that if you have a series that is great, whether from one roll or a hundred rolls, it is a series.
John, you were obviously in the groove on this shoot. Beautiful. I wonder how the photograph would work if the foreground surface reflection highlights were brought up to the same level as the background water streaks- the contrast between somewhat chaotic and orderly linear patterns might be interesting.
They are all beautiful. A wonderful series in my opinion. Would love to see them printed so if you ever get on a plain to Lisbon, make sure you bring them along... I'll buy you a beer!
Thank you, Donald, and Daniel.
Daniel, you make a very good point....I'll explore it on subsequent printings. You're right about keeping those values about the same. I was slightly dodging the lighter areas without thinking to link them with the light area of the foreground. Thanks, again, both of you.
