Wow, I love everything about this image...great sense of isolation for that quirky black hut.

Almost surreal. If this had been painted by Rene Magritte we'd be looking for a meaning in it.

agree with the above! and have a small question: was the yellow filter you used a factor at all in how black the walls of the hut look? i guess i'm curious why you chose a yellow filter and how your choice of that filter influenced the image. cheers!

The walls were painted black, and very dark too (must have been recently painted). I adjusted the contrast slightly after scanning to get the effect I was after. I use the yellow filter to bring out the clouds, but at this time the sky was clear so I don't think it had any effect.
