Another photograph taken from my recent vacation to the Outer Banks. Route 12 in the Cape Hatteras national seashore gets covered by sand frequently from wind and hurricanes. These beach fences are built to keep the sands from shifting. The light was beautiful in the evening and casted long shadows of the fence on the dunes.
Brian, this is a beautiful image! wonderful tones, contrast and clarity! I am surprised that is has been toned in sepia. On my monitor it looks like it has been tone in selenium.
Thanks everyone. The print was ever so slightly sepia toned, barely bleached at all. It's a very subtle color, close to that of real sand. Then the print was toned in selenium which did cool it down.
