Beach Fence, Pea Island, NC

Another photograph taken from my recent vacation to the Outer Banks. Route 12 in the Cape Hatteras national seashore gets covered by sand frequently from wind and hurricanes. These beach fences are built to keep the sands from shifting. The light was beautiful in the evening and casted long shadows of the fence on the dunes.
Location
Pea Island, NC
Equipment Used
Mamiya 6, 50/4
Film & Developer
Ilford FP4 in ID-11 1:1
Paper & Developer
Oriental VC FB in 130, toned lightly in sepia
I like the effect but like stradibarrius I would not have thought about it being sepia, it has a slight grey/blue cool look.

I have always loved the texture of sand that had been rained on recently. Great photograph, Brian.
