Thanks and no. On the same image I used copper bleach prior to redeveloping in LD20 and the image was much more washed out.I've had many failures with copper, to the point I have about given up, but this time, with this combination, it seemed to work.
This is a superb tone that suits the subject down to the ground. Well done. Can you explain what the selenium and copper bleach does that simple lith printing would not do? Thankspentaxuser
pentaxuser - I struggle to answer that. I haven't made a straight lith print since Foma changed their paper formula a few years ago but I've made enough to know that a straight lith print will give me a kinda soft image whereas this one is pretty sharp. Which, of course, makes little sense as this started out as a lith print and was merely toned a couple of times thereafter. I also know, completely contrary to what Tim Rudman says about everything having to do with lith, that the process used to make this image is 100% unreproducible. Which is another way of saying I have no idea but I suppose this is the fun of it.
