Barn Swallows

This is a beautiful print... but why did you wait for the swallows?? I'd have liked it better without them! That great sky, the barn & it's tree and that fence remnant make a nice picture!

Nice image. I like the swallows. I'd be tempted to do a bit of edge burn on top. Nice fosty highlights on the tree.

Jeanette, Thanks for the nice comments. I also shot without the birds. I guess your right in that the birds may detract from the overall image but I did like the "hallo" of swallows. dennis

Bruce, In my original print I did burn in the upper left corner, but it does not seem as effective in the scan. Thanks for the comment...Dennis

Without the name, the subject for me would have been the barn. Is this the emphasis you intended?

The swallows transforms this photo into something special. Without them the shot would have been pretty good but with them the image has more tension and more interest.
