My work is trying to awake memories that are latent in our minds. We all come from a different place and at the same time we all have a past in common. The commonality is that we all feel the same way when dormant memories of the past awake on our present. It is interesting to see how the past remains with us until one day we travel to a place we haven't been in many years to remember all those moments we once experienced right there. To catch those human moments that we once lived, I photograph the locations that make contact with my mind in form of good old experiences. Then, when I am back at home and I see those photographs printed I can travel with my mind to the past and I can get to know myself better. The act of taking the photographs happens at a quick paste, I use a 4x5 camera and since I know the areas very well, I walk around bumping into frames that have a great meaning for me. The photographs find me.
