i took this when i first got my camera it was late afternoon and very bright outside. this made it very difficult for me to print with my limited skills. i reprinted this the other day ,the arch at the end has a metal railing and above a nice chandellier but i cannot get this to come out in the scan any comments welcome, wayne
Really nice photograph. Lovely tones from this paper choice. Scanning does lose some of the details and increases contrast by it's nature. You have to play around with the scanner settings to adjust the curves, and exposure settings.
I think it's a wonderful print, gates or not. I love the reverberation of the windows in the shadows on the floor. Very rhythmic and pleasing in that respect.
The only thing that I have a problem with is that it seems tilted to the left, which is a bit distracting.
The print color cast is very nice. I love using the Ilford Warmtone as well, one of these days I'll have to try the Harman Warmtone developer. It looks great!
